Description of the Service |
Pixel Password provides a visual authentication system that allows users to create and use image passwords as an alternative to traditional text-based passwords. The Service includes our website, demo flows, account and verification flows, APIs, and related services. |
Account Registration and Security |
To use certain features of our Service, you must register for an account. When you register, you agree to:

Subscriptions, Billing, and Trials |
Current Beta Status (No Billing)The Service is currently offered in beta/demo mode and no subscription fees are charged. Open beta access is generally available to users with a valid email address. To protect reliability and security, we may apply abuse-prevention controls including rate limits, verification safeguards, and daily operational email caps. We may modify, suspend, or end beta access (including free-tier or trial access) at any time, with or without notice. Paid Subscriptions (If Enabled Later)If we enable paid plans in the future, pricing, billing cycles, taxes, and renewal terms will be presented before purchase and will apply only after those paid plans are activated. Cancellation, Refunds, and Fee Changes (If Enabled Later)If paid subscriptions are launched, cancellation, refund eligibility, and fee-change notice terms will be provided at launch and then incorporated into these Terms or a plan-specific order page. |
Data, Privacy, and Customer Content |
Pixel Password is a privacy-first company. Like other privacy-focused organizations, we design our Service to protect customer information and reduce unnecessary data collection. To provide and secure the Service, we process information that may include account and contact details, authentication inputs (including image data used in verification flows), device and network metadata (such as IP address and browser details), usage telemetry, payment and billing data, and support or waitlist submissions. By using the Service, you instruct us to process this data for purposes including:
You retain ownership of your content and inputs. You grant Pixel Password a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, process, reproduce, and display such content solely as needed to provide, maintain, and secure the Service. Our privacy practices, data rights processes, and processor disclosures are described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference into these Terms. |
Data Retention and Deletion |
We retain personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in these Terms and our Privacy Policy, unless longer retention is required by law.
Temporary challenge records and image references are retained only as needed for service operation and are subject to automatic expiration (typically within 24 hours from issuance). Deletion requests can be made through the contact methods in the Privacy Policy. Some data may persist temporarily in backups or archived systems until routine rotation. |
Security |
We implement administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information and service data. No internet-based service can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. |
Emails and Service Communications |
You agree that we may send operational communications required to provide the Service, including sign-in messages, account notices, billing notices, and security alerts. Marketing emails, when sent, can be unsubscribed from. |

Intellectual Property |
The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Pixel Password and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws. Our trademarks and trade dress may not be used in connection with any product or service without our prior written consent. You retain ownership of any content you submit through the Service. By submitting content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, and display such content solely for the purpose of providing the Service. |
Service Availability and Suspension |

Enterprise Agreements |
Enterprise customers may be subject to additional terms in an executed enterprise agreement, order form, statement of work, or data processing addendum. For enterprise customers, if there is a conflict between documents, the following order applies:

Support and Service Interruptions |
We provide support through our designated contact channels and may update support scope and hours from time to time. Unless otherwise stated in an enterprise agreement, we do not provide a contractual service-level agreement (SLA), guaranteed response times, or guaranteed uptime. |
Third-Party Services |
Our Service may contain links to or integrate with third-party websites, services, or applications. We are not responsible for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party services. Your use of third-party services is at your own risk. |
Events Beyond Our Control |
Neither party is liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond reasonable control, including natural disasters, internet or infrastructure outages, labor disputes, civil unrest, or governmental actions. |
Export Controls and Sanctions |
You may not use, export, re-export, transfer, or provide access to the Service in violation of applicable export control or sanctions laws. You represent that you are not located in, organized under the laws of, or ordinarily resident in a country or territory subject to comprehensive sanctions, and are not listed on any applicable denied-party or restricted-party list. |
Disclaimer of Warranties |
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that defects will be corrected. You acknowledge that you use the Service at your own risk. |
Limitation of Liability |
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PIXEL PASSWORD AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES. In no event shall our total liability exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or one hundred dollars ($100), whichever is greater. |
Indemnification |
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Pixel Password and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or violation of any third-party rights. |
Modifications to Terms |
We may modify these Terms from time to time. For material changes, we will provide at least thirty (30) days notice before they become effective by posting the updated Terms, updating the "Last updated" date, and/or sending a notice to your account email. Changes required by law, security, or fraud prevention may take effect immediately. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. |
Termination |
You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us at privacy@pixelpassword.com. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or create legal, security, or operational risk. When reasonably possible, we will provide notice and a cure period of up to fifteen (15) days before termination for remediable breaches. We may suspend or terminate immediately without a cure period for serious violations, including fraud, abuse, threats to security, non-payment, legal violations, or risk of harm to the Service or other users. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, and limitations of liability. After termination, we may provide a limited period of up to thirty (30) days for data export, unless legal, security, or technical constraints require shorter handling. After that period, data may be deleted in accordance with our retention practices and Privacy Policy. |
Governing Law |
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Arizona, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state or federal courts located in Maricopa County, Arizona. |
Dispute Resolution |
Before initiating any legal action, you agree to first attempt to resolve any dispute informally by contacting us. If we cannot resolve the dispute within thirty (30) days, either party may proceed with legal action. You agree to waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration. |
Severability |
If any provision of these Terms is held to be unenforceable or invalid, such provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect. |
No Waiver and Cumulative Remedies |
A party's failure to enforce any provision of these Terms is not a waiver of that provision or any other provision. Except where expressly stated otherwise, rights and remedies under these Terms are cumulative and in addition to any other rights and remedies available at law or in equity. |
No Third-Party Beneficiaries |
These Terms are for the benefit of you and Pixel Password only, and do not create any third-party beneficiary rights. |
Relationship of the Parties |
The parties are independent contractors. These Terms do not create any partnership, joint venture, fiduciary, employment, or agency relationship. |
Assignment |
You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your rights under them without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms, in whole or in part, in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets, or by operation of law. |
Death, Incapacity, and Fiduciary Access |
Accounts are personal and non-transferable, except as required by applicable law. If an account holder dies or becomes legally incapacitated, an authorized fiduciary (such as a personal representative, executor, or court-appointed agent) may request account closure, limited account information, or other handling permitted by law. We may require documentation before acting on these requests, including:

Notices |
We may provide notices under these Terms by email to your account email address, by posting within the Service or on our website, or by other reasonable means. Entire Agreement |
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any other agreements expressly incorporated by reference, constitute the entire agreement between you and Pixel Password regarding the Service. |
